Elections are held at the end of November each school year. There is a two week period in which both the old board and the new board meet together to share ideas and to make the transition more gradual. Board positions officially run from January 1 to December 31. Please stay tuned for information on Election Date and Location for 2010Running for a Position:To run for a position, a letter of intent must be submitted to the board (email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it - subject: Letter of Intent - position) where position is the position you are seeking) with the following information: Why you want to run for said position, Your qualifications for that position, What you intend to do in that position (goals, etc), anything else that you feel will help you become elected in that position. Each candidate will make a short speech to the general members on election night as well as engage in a Q&A forum. Please note that the letter of intent will be made public for all members of Hillel to see.
All members are encouraged to attend the election and vote for the candidate they feel is best for that position.Candidates are expected to dress business casual for the elections. |
